How to stream video from iPhone to TV?

Hi everyone,
I’m trying to stream video from iPhone to TV, but I’m running into some issues. My TV doesn’t support AirPlay, so that option is off the table. I’ve also tried using an HDMI adapter to connect directly, but I’m not getting any signal on the TV screen despite checking the connections and settings.
Has anyone else had success with streaming video from an iPhone to a TV that doesn’t support AirPlay? Any advice on what might work or what I could be doing wrong would be really helpful!

If the HDMI adapter didn’t work, here are some ideas to stream video from your iPhone to your TV:
1)

  • DoCast https://apps.apple.com/us/app/screen-mirror-smart-tv-docast/id6446948344: This app lets you cast your iPhone’s screen to various devices like Chromecast, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and DLNA-compatible TVs. It streams local videos well but doesn’t support web videos.
  • Screen Mirroring SmartTV Cast: Another good option for wireless mirroring to many popular TV brands. Some features require the paid version.
  1. If HDMI didn’t work, try a Lightning to VGA adapter, which may be more compatible with some TVs and projectors. Lean more - Connect iPhone to a display with a cable - Apple Support (SA)
  2. Ensure both your TV’s firmware and your iPhone’s iOS are up to date, as updates can resolve compatibility issues.

These alternatives should help you stream video from your iPhone to your TV, even without AirPlay.

I’d recommend for streaming videos from your iPhone to your TV. It works with devices like Chromecast, Roku, Apple TV, Xbox, and DLNA-compatible smart TVs. It’s easy to use, but it can occasionally have connectivity issues, and the free version may have some restrictions.

DoCast https://apps.apple.com/us/app/screen-mirror-smart-tv-docast/id6446948344 is another good option for streaming local videos. It supports various devices, including Chromecast, Roku, DLNA-compatible devices, Fire TV, and popular smart TVs such as LG and Samsung. While it’s user-friendly, the free version has limits on video playback time.
